Some people say lamb tastes gamey but I just don't get it. They obviously haven't found someone to season & cook it to perfection. Lamb Just needs wonderful flavors to go along with it. A marinade of red wine vinegar, oregano & garlic is fantastic for a whole leg, but in this recipe lots of rosemary and garlic do the trick.
Nate and I were both raised eating lamb, our entire families love it, and we can both remember special occasions where the meal was centered around lamb. For us, lamb isn't just food but more of a way to bring our families together and share something we all love.
Lamb is getting rather pricey so I don't buy it often, but I found this little package of 4 chops i cut myself for $6. Hello delicious snack!
- 4 Lamb Chops
- 1-2 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Tbl Fresh Chopped Rosemary
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Olive Oil
Season lamb chops with garlic, rosemary, salt & pepper. Heat a cast iron skillet & add a dash of olive oil. Cook lamb chops on medium heat for 3-5 minutes on each side.
To make dip: Take 4 Tbls sour cream. Add few pinches fresh garlic, pinch fresh rosemary, pinch of salt & pepper.
Note: You may want to buy a bigger package. 4 was no where near enough for us ridiculous lamb lovers.
